What are the directions to your facility?Lotus Island Laparoscopy Limited is located conveniently at 22 Windsor Avenue, Kingston 5 We are in Suite 2, Our location is easily accessible by public transportation and ample parking is available onsite.

What is the cost of the procedures offered?The cost of your procedure will depend on the type of procedure offered, the facility in which the procedure is done and the preparations needed prior to the procedure. This differs for every patient. After your consultation with the doctor, our staff will assist you with an estimate of your costs and the payment options available.

What methods of payment are accepted? Do you accept insurance?We accept payment via cash, debit card, VISA or Mastercard. The majority of our practitioners also accept Sagicor, Canopy and Guardian insurance in office, others may require you to be reimbursed by your insurance company.

Do you have payment plans?Many patients assume that the financial cost of surgery will stand in the way of their success. Our Patient Services Administrator will walk you through the many options available to you to cover the cost of the procedure, whether you are using insurance or have chosen to pay out-of-pocket.

How accessible is your facility?Our medical centre is fully accessible. We are located just off Old Hope Road in Kingston.

How long is the wait before surgery?After you have met with Dr. Halsall and any necessary investigations have been performed, our office staff will work with you to find a date that is as timely and convenient as possible. This usually can occur within a month of the final determination of the procedure required.

What are the risks of surgery?Gynaecologic procedures are performed laparoscopically by Dr. Halsall. This minimally-invasive technique has a much lower complication rate and faster recovery time than traditional open surgery.

What is the recovery time?Recovery time for gynaecologic surgery may range from 1- 6 weeks.

What should I bring to my first appointment?If you have recent test results, bring them along wih you. You should also carry any current medications that you are taking.

Do you provide services for overseas patients?We do! We offer all our overseas patients the opportunity to arrange a video consultation with Dr. Halsall before arrival to the island. This initial step introduces the patient to a thorough review of their medical history with detailed advice on treatment and surgery intervention if necessary. Our office staff will assist you with any necessary arrangements to get started on your ILAP journey before you arrive in Jamaica and advise you on the process while you are here.
